The Mission of the Cleveland County Minority Business Development Center (CCMBDC) is to support entrepreneurship through capacity building, education, training and networking.


The CCMBDC is also committed to supporting community revitalization and capacity building, and will continue to partner and collaborate with other stakeholders to promote economic success in small business ownership, skill training and educational services and outreach.

Economic Development

The CCMBDC also serve as a catalyst for economic development through inclusion and empowerment to build a culturally responsive network of client services and programs to ensure economic viability.

CELA Leadership Salutes 2020 Graduates

In keeping with its mission to develop a first class leadership model that produces a cadre of informed public servants from the minority and underserved communities, the Cleveland Emerging Leaders Academy celebrated the graduation of its' second leadership class on Saturday, November 21, 2020.


The occasion represented the culmination of Minority Enterprise Development Week, an annual observance to honor and commemorate the achievements and accomplishments of local leaders, entrepreneurs, community organizations, and civic leaders who give their time, resources, and humanitarian efforts to make a difference in our community and beyond.


The theme was "Preparing for the new Normal: Transitioning for Success."
