Jazmyne Childs
As a recent graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, Jazmyne has always had an interest in building political infrastructure as well as community. In her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina Jazmyne was able to witness the needs of community development very early on. Jazmyne has thus committed herself to taking on a research organizing approach to better serve the community’s needs within the state of North Carolina. Going to school in the capital city of Raleigh, NC then sparked another passion for Non-profit organizations within Ms. Childs. She has spent time working and interning with well known organizations such as Common Cause, Aim Higher, and America Votes carrying out political research and other organizing duties. Now as a proud full time staff member of Advance Carolina she hopes to help strategically fuel change within the state of North Carolina and improve the quality of living for everyone
Dennis Tom
Dennis, received his Bachelors degree in Sociology at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2012. He received my Masters of Arts in Education Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May of 2016.
While attending graduate school at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke Dennis received a very informative educational experience. His passion is to increase adolescent and as well adult's self-awareness, motivation, internal growth, and solace in the mist of life's vicissitudes. As a counselor Dennis believes he can make an indelible imprint on the multitude of clients that will come before me. It is his ultimate goal to "help clients help themselves" and modified negative self-dialogue that engenders perennial issues of conflicts within emotions and behaviors. His life's mantra is "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change- Dr. Wayne Dyer"
